Two days Awareness Training on CHILD-SAFE- NET package was conducted in a government school “Shram Rastriya Ma.Bi.” Located at Kumar gal, ward7, Kathmandu metropolitan city, on 3rd and 4th December 2024 (18 &19 Mangsir 2081 BS)
The Training was jointly organized by Kathmandu metropolitan municipality ward 7 and social organization RAHAT (Rebuilding Aspirations through Human Advancement and Aspirations) based at Kathmandu, ward 7.
The main purpose of this training was to make aware and responsive for the proper or safe use and utilization of internet. The target group or trainees were the students of class ix and x (9 &10) for the first day and second day respectively. Actually current training packages have been designed and discoursed for the adolescents / teenagers / youngsters in order to make them aware about the safe use of internet.
On the first day, in order to uphold opening, the program was started with the consent of Chairman of Kathmandu M. Municipality ward-7. A brief highlight on the urgency of the use and technique of internet was highlighted by the President of RAHAT.
During the sessions of both first and second days the concerned experts from- Child Safe Net –gave their presentations in a very professional and interesting environment. Some very specific and useful techniques and process were explained such as –
How and why password needs to change? For a password how many letters should be used? What should be the specific duration to use the mobile or net in a day? Why and how one has to block if needed. How and for what purpose inter- net should be used. The session pointed out the issues and problems created by the chat and mixing-up with the people /friends of net or face-book, in person. It may create the threats in security, confidentiality and many more hassles. Obviously having knowledge and skill in such a burning issues of present contexts the students / learners were relaxed and satisfied. They were inaugurated with certificate at the completion of training.
